Quote

I am of the opinion that my life belongs to the whole community and as long as I live, it is my privilege to do for it whatever I can. I want to be thoroughly used up when I die, for the harder I work the more I live.

~George Bernard Shaw

About this Blog

This blog has been established mainly to discuss 'Fighting Traffic Corruption' as a community project. Imagine the dangers that traffic corruption promotes: lawlessness on the road, irresponsible drivers, accidents, loss of revenue meant for road maintenance, services and facilities, - going down the drain for private benefit. Community members can do something, even in a small way, to stop this rot - YOU CAN DO SOMETHING - Simply saying NO TO CORRUPTION and Challenging Traffic Officers that demand for bribes. Collectively, drivers can do something, and this blog aims at engaging drivers / motorists, into 'collective action' against traffic corruption. The focus is on how public transport drivers, who are key stakeholders, can contribute to fighting this scourge. This blog therefore will report on the avenues that can and have been used in an attempt to engage public transport drivers in saying NO to corruption.

  1. Wow! What a fabulous looking site Timothy - I love the strong colours and images. It speaks to the importance of your focus area.

I wanted to let you know how much I love the Shaw comment that heads your pages - it reminds me of a quote by Wolfensberger who when asked how he thought we could assist those affected by burnout, replied "I'm not concerned by the people who burnout - I'm worried about the ones who never caught fire int eh first place!". Here's to many more people being inspired by your efforts and "catching fire".
    Congratulations for a great start,

  3. Hey Timothy,
corruption is not an easy thing to eradicate but with people like you with a good focus there is nothing impossible. You will need to reach out to traffic officer and drivers and find out the causes of their corrupt acts, believe me most will say poverty but it may not be! But what then?
